Contract Scope:
Lot 1 and Lot 2
Engineering, Procurement and Construction of major high-voltage transmission infrastructure.
Building new substations of 220/132/33 kV in Buloba and Mukono.
Upgrading existing substations 220/132 kV in Mutundwe, Kawaala and Bujagali
Constructing 220 kV lines and reconductoring 132 kV transmission lines using HTLS technology (i.e High Temperature Low Sag) to relieve congestion and improve power transfer capacity in the Kampala metropolitan grid.

Supply and Installation of a Mobile substation, 20 MVA 132/33-11kV
EPC Contractor for Lot 1 and Lot 2: Consortium of China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) and Toyota Tsusho Corporation is approximately USD 96 million (about UGX 130+ billion).
